Our Story
The Barefoot Photographer began when Martin Brown was a self defence writer for Martial Arts Illustrated Magazine. Frustrated with the drawbacks of creating images for his magazine articles, he picked up a camera and decided to do it for himself. Years later, Martin’s work has appeared on international magazine front covers, appeared in articles and captured major Hollywood events.
The Barefoot Photographer is now a cutting edge studio that is equally at home shooting a beautiful wedding as it is high fashion and celebrity portraits. Why settle for less?
Our goal is always to create the very best in photographic imagery. It may surprise you to know that no Photoshop has been used to create a single image on this website and that every image was created purely in camera with no special effects added. Yes, we do post-production, but it’s so much more authentic feeling when the image is created right there for you to see the second the shutter button is pressed.
